Dream pop with hints of post-rock. Night Cadet is a quartet from Seattle. Their bandcamp says they make "anthemic songs that fans of Beach House, Grizzly Bear and Youth Lagoon will believe in." There are some post-rock-inspired arrangements in there too. This EP has an unsettling familiarity; I kept getting this feeling that I heard these songs before (or that they were covers), even though I'm pretty sure that isn't the case. Weird. Also not relevant. Track 1 is the single. No FCCs detected.

1. (3:39) delicate guitar and big, echoey male vocals. Lyrics about being young, restless, limitless, etc. This song will be in a cell phone commercial within a year (if it isn't already).
2. (4:37) dramatic female vocals and slow, simple guitar progressions. Random synth action at the end.
3. (4:26) pastiche of commercially successful post-rock bands. Sounds like a below-average Explosions in the Sky song until they start singing. Fiddle comes out halfway through, sounds kind of like Balmorhea.
4. (4:54) slooow. Strings and long ohhhhhs.
