Stunning debut album from country artist whose songs have been
recorded by Reba McEntire and Sheryl Crow. Terrific darkly comic
and deeply felt writing and beautiful vocals. All tracks are great.
1 – (3:22) Pray To Jesus* Mid, great song on everyday concerns.
2 – (3:37) Crazy Women* Mid, about battles between the sexes, nicely done.
3 – (3:34) What’ll Keep Me Out Of Heaven* Slow song of lust & temptation.
4 – (3:31) Get High* One wife’s way to escape domestic drudgery.
5 – (3:36) Hold My Hand* Slow & tender love ballad, very nice.
6 – (3:16) Stripes* Fun song: cheating & revenge. Great.
7 – (3:38) In Some Corner* Slow: bar, scotch, misunderstanding.
8 – (3:29) Take A Little Pill* Slow song about escaping pain.
9 – (3:56) Hungover* Funny tune about soon-to-be ex-wife starting over.
