The masters go acoustic and deliver a release that pays homage to their Flamenco roots. The fiery guitars and heartfelt vocals are much in evidence, as is a feeling of warmth & energy that reflects this recording done in a French villa. One star every track, great stuff.
1. Lively and lusty w/great vocals.
2. Slower w/passionate vocals & a sense of longing.
3. A slow and emotional song that ends much too soon.
4. Wonderful, intricate guitar work. Great instrumental track.
5. Great percussive sound, palmas, guitars, vocals. Fast & so good
6. Slightly bouncy love song w/warm & sensual vocals.
7. Swaying blend of vocals & guitars w/a hint of sadness.
8. Wonderful instrumental w/virtuoso guitar work.
9. Soaring vocals, downtempo & dramatic.
10. Flamenco boogie? Oddly fun w/an almost Tex-Mex feel.
11. The Kings do Django in a Gypsy/Flamenco/jazzy thing. Nice.
12. Sweet & light w/a nice sense of lyrical joy.
13. Contemporary ballad w/a delicate feeling & sense of loss.
14. Wonderful use of kora in this upbeat little jazzy romp.
15. Catchy rhythm, rich vocals, a fun, festive tune.
16. Upbeat w/rich mix of strings & a group sing-along feel. Fun!
