Yikes, the mother of all dream rock? Certainly in the running along with Bowery Electric, Echodrone, Aarktika, Bethany Curve, Ride, Lush, MBV. Appropriately named band. Friggen lovely stuff, all instrumental (almost) echoey and just perfect chill music or something to listen to when you find youre out of vicodin. A decent substitution for a Demerol suppository.
1) slow narco deep bass and layers of dreamy guitar and spacey sounds, ahhhh
2) mindful with stops and spaces
3) no drums, just lovely melodic washes
4) slow paced, almost bright melodies
5) starts cool and sublime and continues hypnotic, no drums
6) slow to evolve to a slow plod beat and requisite dreaminess
7) dreamy no drums with distant melodies on guitar and chordal changes
8) a big ¾ waltzy thing, epic
9) big epic again, soaring with sublime chill out-tro
10) no drums, ambience
11) vocals appear midway to great surprise (!?) and it lends a very slick poppy feel briefly to this slow mindful walk through a field of valerian, after drums end a very long dénouement
12) no drums, an outtro of sorts to the cd, nice way to come down!
